Have you been cut off?

"...my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children." Hosea 4:6 (NIV)

According to Strong's Concordance "destroyed" means "cut off". God tells us that His people, that's me and you, have been cut off because we lack knowledge. Knowledge of God and His Word. Our Number One defense against attacks of the enemy is God's Word. When we feel as if we are down for the count, when the rug has been pulled out from under us, when we can't possibly go on..... what do we do? Do we have knowledge of the Word to know how to speak against and war against the devil? If we don't then we should. I do not want to be cut off from healing, or be cut off from prosperity, God's love, peace, etc... I DO NOT WANT TO BE CUT OFF!

"Rejected" means "Not believed" according to Strong's Concordance. So God tells us that because we have not believed He will reject and not believe us. Because we have not believed and therefore ignored His law, His Word, then He will ignore not only us, but our children!

Our actions TODAY affect TOMORROW!

Are you facing lack? Sickness? Divorce? Whatever you are struggling with in your life, God is BIGGER than the problem and HE is the SOLUTION! Get into the Word and find every verse dealing with your situation and start speaking the Word. If the Word says, "By His stripes we are healed." then, by God, YOU ARE HEALED! Speak it, walk it and BELIEVE IT!

Be Blessed.

Opinion Outpost

Troubled Times...

It amazes me how life can be going along, all is well and then....WHAM!!! We're hit upside the head with something that completely changes everything!

For example.... Last year, my family and I had to move because the people who owned the house we were rented wanted to sell the home and I wanted to move on our own timing and not theirs. So, we found a new home and on the day we moved, my husband lost his job. That was so devastating! For 6 months he didn't work and we were sinking more and more. All I had was faith that God would bring us out of it and that He would always provide, which He did. I still say that had it not been for God and His Provision, we wouldn't have ever made it.

Now, it's happened again. My husband lost his job a few days ago and for a moment, I panicked. Then I remembered how God cared for us before and He will do it again. I actually have a very good feeling about this and am thankful that my husband is no longer working with the group of men he was working with because they are very bad influences and I saw changes in my husband that I was NOT happy with. Just within these few days of him not being around them, it's amazing just how much peace is in my home and how little we have been arguing!

My point to all this is.... In troubled times, we need to seek Jesus. Maybe sometimes He allows things to come into our lives to get our attention again because it's when our world is turned upside down that we come to Him the most. When things are good we tend to go about our lives maybe without as much thanksgiving as we should and without spending as much time as we should in His presence.

So if you are experiencing a difficult time, look up and keep your eyes on Him. Know that He will provide, if you'll let Him. We try to do everything on our own, but there are some things that we just can't do! Let Him do those things for you!

As for me, I am believing that God is making some awesome changes within my husband and in our lives. I believe that He will provide a job that my husband is happier in and is more of a financial provision than we have ever had. I believe that He will provide us with the security I have been so desperate for! All we need is His love!

The Crown of Thorns

Remember back in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve ate the fruit and God cursed the land? "...Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,..." ( Genesis 3:17-19)

Since then, mankind has been living by the sweat of his brow. Life has not been easy and for many, it is full of poverty. However, when Jesus was taken before the religious and political authorities and they placed those thorns upon his head...no wait. "Placed upon his head" is not descriptive enough. When they shoved the thorns down deep into his flesh, hammering them in place, Jesus bled.

The symbol of poverty, the thorns, were placed upon his head and he shed his blood for the redemption of our poverty. His blood covered our shame, our sin and our poverty. Jesus came to set us free and to give us life more abundantly. He died so that we may be prosperous, in many ways.

The devil wants us to stay poor and impoverished. He wants us to believe that as Christians, we should be poor. This is what traditional religion has taught us. This, however, goes against God and what He wants for us.

We can't give what we don't have.....

Passion - At the Whipping Post

Stripes that Heal

The second place that Jesus shed His blood was at the whipping post. Under Jewish law, a prisoner could be given up to 40 lashes, but often they were only given 39 because 40 was often fatal. This is why it is believed that Jesus himself received 39 lashes. These 39 lashes represent the root of every disease. He took them all! Every blood disorder, every mental disability, every physical and mental disease, He took them all!!

Some say God doesn't heal anymore, but the Bible says," Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)

Some say God *can* heal, but does He want to?Think about the man with leprosy who came to Jesus and begged Him, " If you are willing, you can make me clean." ( Mark 1:40-41 ) Did Jesus turn him away and say "Nah, not today. I'm not willing to do that anymore."? No he did not. Instead, He touched the man and said, " I am willing. Be clean!"

God, and therefore Jesus, is not a respecter of persons, meaning He does not favor one over another. If He did it for one, He will do it for all. We must come boldly into the throne room and call our healing in! "If it be thy will" is the same as not knowing the will of God. Jesus came so that we "may have life and have it more abundantly." Jesus brought us life, not death, blessings, not curses. It IS His will that we live and be healthy.

Our salvation starts with the forgiveness of our sins, but it doesn't stop there. It goes further into deliverance, healing and freedom!

Again, this is based on "Free at Last" by Larry Huch. This is only a quick overview, some highlights if you will. Please experience the total revelation!

Prayer: " Oh Lord, that we may truly understand the depth of Your love. That You came to earth, walked as a man and took upon Yourself not only the pain and agony of being tortured and killed, but You took on the shame and humiliation of sin in all forms so that we may be free. Let us begin to experience Your freedom! Thank you Lord Jesus for your wonderful salvation. Let us never take it for granted, but always strive to become more like You. To love like You, to live like You. In the Name of Jesus I pray and plead the blood of Jesus over my life today. Amen."

Free at Last!

Do you feel as if you can't seem to change? Do you have habits that you want to break, but just don't seem to be able to? In his book " Free at Last", Larry Huch shows you the Biblical means of doing just these things and so much more!

This book shows you how you can live truly free.... free of generational curses, and fully in the promises of God! It reveals the power behind the 7 places Jesus shed His blood and how they apply to all of us, right where we are today. It is these 7 places that I want to share with you.

Today I will discuss the first place, but before we get to that, let's travel back into the Garden of Eden. Remember, although Eve was the first to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, she was deceived. It was Adam who sinned and handed over the dominion over the earth to the devil. When this happened, mankind lost many, many things. One of the things that Adam handed over was willpower. He did not exert his willpower when Eve asked him to eat the fruit. Instead, like a sheep who must be led, he laid it down and ate the fruit. The good news is that Jesus took back that willpower for us! How? It happened when he first shed His blood....

On the eve of His crucifixion, Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. Not a surprise, but have you ever really looked at that story? I was in awe when I read about this. Jesus had given up His "godhood" to become a man when he came to earth. Yes, he was the Son of God, but He was not God while on earth. He still ate, drank, slept, He even used the bathroom. Yes, Jesus was a man. A man filled with the power of the miracle working God who sent him as the second Adam. As a man, Jesus felt pain when He stubbed His toe. If His mother needed something, He was sure to help her. So on this night, He knew that He was about to endure pain beyond the imagination and though His spirit was willing, He knew this was something He had to do, His flesh was weak and He really didn't want to go to the cross.

Jesus prayed so hard in the garden that night, that he actually sweat drops of blood. Now if you think this was something just made up, that people can't really do that, think again. It has been a proven fact that under extreme duress, the blood vessels and capillaries expand and burst, causes it to come out through the pours and therefore causing one to sweat blood. Although Jesus asked for the cup to pass from Him if possible, He also stated " Not My will, but thine be done." In other words, " God, if you could find another way to do this, please do, that would be great! But I am ready to do what I have to do, to put You first!"

If that wasn't a battle of willpower, I don't know what is! So even as Adam lost our willpower in a garden, Jesus, the second Adam ( the one to fix all the mistakes of Adam and redeem us from the death that Adam's sin condemned us to ), won our willpower back in a garden.

The next time you have to go to the in-laws and think you just can't sit there through another dinner with them, think of that night in the garden. With Jesus on our side, we can do anything!!

If you're trying to quite smoking, or quit eating junk food, and think it's impossible, think again! It's already done! If Jesus can go to the cross and be tortured and finally be killed, surely, we can do these small insignificant things. If He had the strength and willpower to not run and avoid the cross, I believe He will give us the same strength!

Prayer: " Thank you Abba Father, for the love you showed even me when you sent your son to earth. Thank You Jesus that you give us the strength we need to get through even the toughest situation. Thank you that through you we can accomplish anything! I plead the blood of Jesus over my life and ask for your protection, love and grace to be shown in my life and through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen."
